So often lately, we all are guilty of interpretation in bias…seeing what we want to see… some of us have used the term ‘selective hearing’ and it is being selective how you see something. Things we are most passionate about, are the most frequent times we overlay this filter of bias on our interpretation. This leads to us justifying behaviors and actions that aren’t even within the spectrum of who we are or wish to be. Being self aware, and taking the time to understand all sides, and using many sources, is the most resourceful way to avoid this lens of self interest.
